One more senior is on his way out…
Voss has been with the Maroons since 2012. The freshman played in 15 games, and ended the season averaging 2.9 points and 1.7 rebounds a contest.
As a senior, the forward started all 25 games, ranking second on the team in points (10.9 per matchup) and leading in rebounds (7.7). Voss also led the team in three-pointers made, with 48. During this time, the 6-foot-5 fourth year posted a career-high 25 points and 11 rebounds.
Over his career at UChicago, Voss averaged 8.3 points and 4.9 rebounds a game. He saw time in 90 contests, while starting 50 of them. Voss comes in eleventh in career three-pointers (131) and tenth in three-pointers on the season, for 2014-15 (58).
Having majored in Public Policy, Voss is moving on from basketball towards big things.
“My plans for summer are to start working in Chicago. I will probably take a vacation in the middle of summer, but otherwise straight to business; I will be M&A Investment Banking at Juniper Advisory here in Chicago.”
However, the senior is going to miss his team.
“While I am looking forward to spending time with friends and family and celebrating this accomplishment, I will still miss the team camaraderie. I haven’t been a part of any other college basketball team but I can’t imagine a group being quite like the group we had all four of my years.”
Sending nothing but luck your way, Alex! Maroon pride!
